Scott Lawrenson

Today we had an opportunity to have a talk with one of last years 3rd year about his role with in Air covers. Air covers are a company that design and manufacture custom made air craft covers. Scott illustrated the clients he works for such as:

-Airbus

-Military of defence

-Royal air force

-Airglaze aviation

Scott defined why aircrafts need the covers they create, and the benefits behind them. Most aircrafts have components that need to be projected from the elements like helicopters engines and most aircraft cockpits. Aircovers create products for a wide range of aircrafts, tanks and are progressing into cars and motorbikes. Scott took us on a tour of his office and workshop, too see such a well defined company with a small workshop shows that you don't need to be big to be successful.

Scott's talk was very inspiring and gave me a sense of reassurance, knowing that companies need new blood and younger designers to push their ideation forward, Boost my confidence towards hunting for a job. Overall this talk was highly beneficial and was a major boost in my mentality, Scott is a highly talented and creative individual and has really inspired me to take every opportunity as it comes.
