Aimee Grundell

Today we had an online guest speaker called Aimee Grundell. She described her path through the years from studying in London and internships, to being a well know designer with her own brand.

Aimee started off with her own freelance company called AG studios. She loves her brand and the content they create from illustrations to full woodland sets. AG studios cover a wide range of design from graffiti too building, AG studios strive to solve problems in the most creative way possible. She worked with Leeds Munroe house creating cartoon versions of grandmas house all the way to creating a street gallery consisting of art work that teens have created through out the Covid - 19 lock down. Aside from freelance and design work, Aimee enjoys creating her won exhibitions which are designed around "Queens of industry", "Pit sense material use", and "Yorkshire water touring escape room".

With Aimee owning her own freelance company, she ensured us that getting their was "All about the journey" Aimee ensured us that after university any experience is good experience. She worked as an internship, for pubs and being assistance but was all worth it to earn her end goal.

In terms of how this talk has impact my future, I feel that the way Aimee has achieved her own company and the experience she has gained, has resinated with me as I would like to one day own my company/brand but as a graduate, I feel that any experience I can gain with in the industry will benefit me a lot more.
